Dave Mason has been preaching the Gospel since 1997. In 2001 he planted Lighthouse Baptist Church in Darlington, MD and in 2004, after rapid growth, merged Lighthouse with another congregation to form First Baptist Church of Harford County.  Dave pastored First Baptist until 2016, when he was called to be Executive Director of Military Evangelism.  Dave had an extensive career in many fields before entering the ministry, including Radio News Director, DJ, Television Producer, Contributing Reporter to the Associate Press, and Deputy Sheriff. He has also worked as a Private Investigator, Art Teacher and professional Illustrator and Cartoonist with a nationally published comic. He has written and published three books:  “Revelation: Notes and Outlines” and “Zechariah: Notes and Outlines” and "Daniel: Notes and Outlines" You can get a copy of any of his books by emailing us at militaryfellowshipctr@gmail.com

Dave is currently writing his fourth book. when he finishes that he plans to start writing and illustrating doctrinal comic books to teach theology to everyone in the church.

     Dave is a past Vice-Chairman of the Del/Mar Baptist Bible Fellowship, and was a board member and Secretary of Military Evangelism for 8 years. He holds a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Harford Community College and a Bachelor of Theology from Emmorton Baptist Bible Institute. He is pursuing a Master of Theology degree from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary.           

     Dave's passions include books (over 1000 in his personal library and 2000 in his Theological library) art, music and his typewriter collection.

     Dave and his wife Patty have been married for 29 years, and have two boys, Luke, 27 and Ben, 25. Patty serves alongside Dave as the Secretary of the ministry and travels with Dave on Deputation across the country. Luke is married to Callie and he works full time as a locksmith and part time as our Assistant Director.  Ben married Sarah in the summer of 2017. Ben is the Experience Pastor (Worship) at Catalyst Church in Jacksonville, NC. Between the boys Dave and Patty have four grandchildren.
